We Don't Eat Any Fat Or Any Blood

Yesterday's Scripture Reading: Shemot (Exodus) 39-40; Vayikra (Leviticus) 1

Exo 39:42 According to all that יהוה had commanded Mosheh, so the children of Yisra’ĕl did all the work.
Exo 39:43 And Mosheh looked over all the work and saw they did it as יהוה had commanded, so they had done. And Mosheh blessed them.

Today's Scripture Reading: Vayikra (Leviticus) 2-4

Lev 3:16 ‘And the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, an offering made by fire for a sweet fragrance. All the fat belongs to יהוה.
Lev 3:17 ‘An everlasting law throughout your generations in all your dwellings: you do not eat any fat or any blood.’ "

(We cut off the fat and only eat meat that was slaughtered by kosher method so that the blood was drained out, or we salt and soak the blood out if we're not sure how it was slaughtered.)

Crochet Snuggle Tubbie: I'm still working on the medium size, and it is taking much longer than the small one. The base is 3 rounds bigger, which I believe translates to 30 more stitches on each round of the sides. It's frustrating that it's taking so long because I have other things I want to do, not to mention all the mending I HAVE to do before I can even get to the want-to-do's.

The Amazing Race: I cannot tolerate that Jennifer of Jennifer & Nathan. What a whiner! Can you BELIEVE how she not only wanted Azaria and Hendekea to LET her be first, but then even verbalized to Phil how they should have done so?! What a loser. If she wants to come in first, then she needs to race and run fast enough to come in first--duh!

Dexter: It's difficult to imagine how Dexter is going to extricate himself from his current predicament. And isn't that Lila sooooooooo irritating? She's rivaling Debra for the most offensive character on the show.

Dinner Tonight: Crockpot Meatballs.
