Thirteen Things about ME

1. I am a member of the Baby Boomer generation.

2. I grew up in Southern California.

3. I have one sister and two brothers, and I am the oldest.

4. I am married.

5. I have 9 children--5 daughters and 4 sons. The three youngest are still living at home.

6. I have 7 grandchildren--all girls.

7. Three of my granddaughters are older than my youngest child, and one was born the same month he was and is only 18 days younger.

8. I've been pregnant and given birth as a teenager, in my 20s, in my 30s and in my 40s.

9. I am left-handed.

10. My favorite color is light purple (like the background of this post).

11. The smell of Drakkar Noir makes me weak in the knees.

12. I love chili spaghetti topped with cheddar cheese.

13. I hate spiders and bugs.

Mom, we have so much in common! I'm left handed, love chili spaghetti, and hate bugs and spiders!

Did you know that I originally discovered chili spaghetti on the menu at Bob's Big Boy restaurant and then ended up making my own version at home--the one you kids were raised on?

I love you and am so happy to see you on my blog--that's so exciting!

Hi, Tuppence,
I'm a fellow Thursday Thirteener who has some things in common with you:
I used to live in Arizona (was born in Phoenix; loved Flagstaff).
I have nine children, four still at home (6 daughters, 3 sons).
I am an oldest child, also.
:)

It's so cool that kaydrea dropped by. My kids never do, but I'm always afraid they will.

Wow, I thought it was something that I had a baby in the 1970s, the 1980s, and the 1990s. You've topped that LOL!

I'm a Boomer, too. My husband's left-handed. :) Now I'm curious to know what Drakkar Noir smells like!

Enjoy your weekend!

For those who may be interested:

Super Quick and Easy Chili Spaghetti

1 can of your favorite chili (we've used and liked Hormel and even Wal-Mart's brand)

2 packages of ramen noodles

Prepare the ramen noodles according to the package directions, but do not use the enclosed spice pack. You just need the cooked noodles, which generally cook in 3 minutes.

While the noodles are cooking, put the canned chili into a microwave-safe container big enough to hold the chili and the noodles to be added later. Microwave until hot, about 2-4 minutes.

When the noodles are cooked, drain off the water and then add the noodles to the heated-up chili.

Top with shredded cheddar cheese and enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by my blog, Tuppence, and thanks for posting the chili spaghetti recipe. :)

9 kids sounds heavenly. I am sure sometimes that would not be the words that come to mind though! I am one of 7 children...always loved a large family.
