The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

This book kind of dragged for me during first 2/3 with very wordy descriptions of pretty much everything (though in hindsight that did help develop solid imagery), but it ended up being worth getting through it all to the final 1/3. I loved the plot twist, which I totally did not see coming. It is the story of a young woman being given the opportunity to write the story of the life of an author when she was reaching the end of her life story. A good gothic tale for book lovers.
